When it comes to our homes, trust and quality matter. An estimated 1.7 million UK adults are impacted by rogue trades every year. That’s why, since 2022, we’ve been committed to championing trade excellence.

We’re known for our high standards. Every trade that wants to join us must pass up to 12 checks before they can gain our seal of approval.

• Trades must prove they are who they say they are, and that where necessary they are qualified to do the work.
• We check they’ve never been bankrupt, insolvent, struck off as a director, or subject to a county court judgement.
• They must agree to uphold their customers’ consistently exceptional experiences.

Last year, we rejected 1,257 trades who did not meet our high standards.

And we never stop checking. Members must prove their professionalism with positive reviews throughout their membership, which we spot-check and monitor regularly to ensure they’ve been left by real people, not bots or competitors.

If you are ever worried that something goes wrong with a job, Yourtrader will help to put things right. Jobs booked and paid for through our site are covered up to £1,000, up to £10,000, or £50,000 depending on the job.
